Want to become a Habitat homeowner?
We are now accepting applications to the homeownership program! To qualify, you must be living in substandard housing, be able to afford a mortgage payment, and willing to partner with us to build or rehabilitate a house. Free construction skills classes
We are excited to announce a new program available to Habitat volunteers and homebuyers called "Toolbox Talks with Tony." Participants will learn the basics of tool safety and be introduced to how to do tasks like installing windows, repairing drywall, painting, insulating and more. These free classes will be taught by our construction manager, Tony Scott, and will run once a month from 6-7:30 p.m. on the following schedule:
Window installation — Wednesday, October 15
Insulating and sealing walls — Wednesday, November 12
Proper drywall installation — Wednesday, December 10
Drywall taping and repairs — Wednesday, January 14
Trim carpentry — Wednesday, February 11
Painting basics — Wednesday, March 11
Siding — Wednesday, April 15
Roofing — Wednesday, May 13
